Jet City Auxiliary is a supporters group for the Seattle Sounders Women in the W League. We believe in passionately supporting the team during home and away matches.
Jet City Auxiliary, or JCA, was created in 2012. We are an open group consisting of people from all backgrounds, families, men, women, and even children. We encourage you to join us in supporting the Seattle Sounders Women in however you see fit, whether that is singing, clapping, waving flags, and holding up two poles alongside us, or by simply cheering on the team during matches from your seat.

As leadership presented the idea of doing Rosie the Riveter, I knew it was going to be an easy design to create, and a very challenging design to pull off. While the design itself is simple enough, trying to accomplish a very complicated vertical display for our first ever tifo was ambitious. Once the design was completed and approved, we moved on to getting a few days set aside for the actual painting. Kelsey was nice enough to sew everything on her birthday, talk about being committed (thanks Kelsey!). Everyone did a great job painting, and we finished on the 3rd day with time for a dip in the lake.
The challenge was always going to be deploying it as a vertical at Starfire. It's a challenge for even the most seasoned supporters groups, and it was going to be especially challenging for ours being so new. After many discussions we decided on a plan, and with an hour to kickoff we were ready to deploy. Then came the unexpected. The Sounders women, while many of us were still enjoying prematch festivities at Mad Pizza, start their ceremonies 15 minutes before kick off. This meant that everyone outside the grand stands could not get in for the prematch ceremonies, including half the team that was going to deploy the display. Thanks to a solid back up plan, we shuffled some people around, and everything went up better than I ever expected. The display looked great and went off without a hitch.
